1,600 Tulong Dunong Program grantees of the 3rd District converged at the Silay City Plaza Covered Court today for an orientation on current guidelines from CHED and a dialogue with Cong. Albee Benitez.

Precious Hipolito-Castelo, visited Barangay Commonwealth for a dialogue with leaders and members of the SAMA-SAMA (Samahang Maralita Para Sa Makataong Paninirahan) Federation representing families affected by the National Government Center project along Commonwealth Avenue.

Cong. Albee Benitez held separate meetings with officials of the Department of Education (DepEd) and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), to review and assess status of ongoing projects.
The DepEd group is led by OIC Division of Negros Occidental Gilbert Sadsad (right of Cong. Albee) and Silay City Schools Division Superintendent Neri Ann Alibuyog (left of Cong. Albee). Also present are District Supervisors and Curriculum Instruction personnel. The dialogue tackled enhancements on the use of technology to further elevate curriculum standards.

Rep. Albee Benitez visited Catanduanes today with Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, Energy Sec. Alfonso Cusi Rep. Geraldine Roman and actor Gabby Concepcion. They were warmly welcomed by Rep. Cesar Sarmiento and former PAGCOR President Jorge Sarmiento. They met students and local officials with whom Rep. Benitez shared about his passion and advocacy for affordable and adequate housing, and solar energy.
