INALMAHAN ni Negros Occidental Rep. Alfredo “Albee” Benitez, chair of the Committee on Housing and Urban Development ang pagkaltas sa alokasyon ng gobyerno sa 2018 para sa sektor ng pabahay.

Pinuna ni Benitez ang pagbagsak ng panukalang alokasyon para sa pabahay na P4.795-bilyon sa 2018 o mas mababa nang 68.8 porsyento kumpara sa 2016.

A House leader is urging the Duterte administration to pour in more resources in housing to address the long-standing problem of homelessness in the country.

Negros Occidental Rep. Alfredo “Albee” Benitez, chairman of the House committee on housing and urban development, laments that the proposed P4.795-billion budget for the housing sector in 2018 is 68.87 percent lower than last year.

Amid the Duterte government’s push to “build, build, build” infrastructure, a House of Representatives leader is questioning the proposal to cut the budget for the housing sector by 69 percent.

The proposed budget actually cut billions from agencies catering to housing development and resettlement while allocating hundreds of millions for agencies assisting  low-income earners and families.

In a statement, Negros Occidental 3rd Dist. Rep. Alfredo Benitez, the chair of the committee on housing and urban development, said the government should also address the problem of homelessness.

PAGCOR Senior High School Building Inaugurated In Silay Barangay

The two-storey ten-classroom building for the Senior High School students of the Barangay E. Lopez National High School donated by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) through the efforts of Congressman Alfredo Benitez of the Third District was formally inaugurated today ( August 18) in a program attended by  PAGCOR AVP Arnel Ignacio of the Community Relations and Services Department representing PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Andrea Domingo, Congressman Benitez and Silay City Mayor Mark Golez.

THE two-storey 10-classroom building for the Senior High School students of Barangay E. Lopez National High School in Silay City donated by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) was inaugurated Friday, August 19.

The unveiling rites was led by Pagcor assistant vice president Arnel Ignacio of the Community Relations and Services Department, representing Pagcor chairman and chief executive Andrea Domingo, Third District Representative Alfredo Benitez, and Silay City Mayor Mark Golez.

1-PACMAN Party-list Representative Michael Odylon Romero is the richest congressman from the House of Representatives in 2016, the summary of their Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth shows.

Romero has declared that as of December 31, 2016, he has total assets of P7.058 billion and total liabilities of P48.41 million, resulting in a net worth of P7.009 billion.

1-Pacman Partylist Representative Michael Odylon “Mikee” Romero topped the 294-member chamber in terms of wealth, with a declared net worth of P7,009,588,018 as of December 31, 2016.
