Front-liners in the implementation of housing projects in the Third District and other stakeholders involved in shelter programs were gathered in February 2014 for the First District-wide Community Mortgage Program Forum and Shelter Delivery Workshop in Victorias City.

The Third District Congressional Office partnered with the Social Housing Finance Corporation and all local government units to initiate the activity.

Participants who presented situationers on the status of informal settlers in their respective areas and updates on shelter projects were Sangguniang Chair on Housing; Liga ng mga Barangay heads; planning, budget, legal and social welfare and development officers.

SHFC representatives briefed participants on their twin programs, the Community Mortgage Programs and the Localized Mortgage Program. A dialogue and workshop on housing issues and concerns was also part of the activity.
